Im 16, dont have much money to work with but i can/want to save up to do things on my 01 cherokee sport. those lights/lightbar in the pic are the only thing ive done to it so far (besides interior work) but i would like to add more things to it to make it look more unique. It is my daily driver btw. im young and i want to get some experience on working on my jeep. I'll need to repaint the trim soon, almost definatly black so itll match the lightbar and i think black would look good with the blue

Looks cool enough with the Cubs magnet. I myself am from the north side of Chicago and am a Cubs fan.
Now. As for looks. "Looks" don't make you more capable off road if you plan on wheeling your XJ and stickers don't add horsepower. I would be more concerned about building it to overcome obstacles and not getting stuck off road because you won't look very cool then.
A solution that may be in your price range is a 3" aal kit with 31's. Jeep will definitely look more aggressive and you will be have a lot more clearance over stock and lets face it, lifted XJ's look cool.

I definitely vote for the removing the trim and possibly flares, and trimming the fender lips a bit (possibly even the quarters, the look has grown on me after seeing mine everyday..lol), and the angry eyes is cheap/easy and pretty 'different' in most places.
Being a DD shouldn't stop you from doing some mild wheeling, you don't have to get too crazy offroad, just know your limits and if you feel you shouldn't go any further then don't lol. I DD mine, and have been pretty lucky *knock on wood*. Been waiting for my Dana35 to blow..

You've got a real nice Jeep there. The light bar looks really good. How about hood vents? Or a stubby antenna? Or bedliner on your rockers or bumpers?
But other than add ons, just keep your Jeep clean and well maintained and it will be cooler than 90% of the vehicles on the road. Fresh fluid changes, belt, hoses, tune up parts, good headlights, CLEAN INTERIOR, etc. if anything breaks, fix it or replace it. Never leave anything broken on your rig. Take care of maintenance and wear items and you will get a lot of experience working on your Jeep. Good luck!

Light bar is nice, those rims are killer black, I think If you trimmed the fenders and that little plastic under the bumper, took side moldings off it would make to the untrained eye a little higher than stock, here's mine with trimmed fenders
