The Grand Cherokee is truly an awesome travel vehicle. I took my 2004 here, there, and everywhere. I averaged 5,000 +/- miles per month on the road in it over a years time recently.
Only issues it ever had were a flat tire once, original radiator developed a pin-hole leak in the plastic neck piece (was able to repair it on the road with a $5 tube of plasti-weld), and the original starter failed on me.
I took it into disaster zone areas with having almost no accommodations. Florida was particularly leveled when I was there after Hurricane Michael. The back of mine was converted into a camper. I would sleep in it at times, and it was very nice.
