Do they have a website. Is it a four wheeling site? I'm interested in how your latch system works. I've got two swinging arms on my tire carrier that meet some what in the middle. Right now is just a screw down style, but was looking to modify it to a latch system. If you could post the link to their site or take some pics of the latch system and hinge, I would really appreciate in. Thanks.

You can see the mounts in post 62.

The best software that i have used to do civil 3D is Allplan.
Allplan is owned by a german company called Nemetschek, that recently has acquired Autodesk, the owner of autoCAD, inventor and revit.
From the list of software you posted i would suggest Inventor, easy to start with 3D. Something better would be solidWorks or Catia, if you want the best there is only PRO/eng.
So you work in Pro/e and you like it? I have used Pro/e and have not liked it at all. I just do not think it have the power that inventor or solidworks but that is just me.

I thought like you at the beginning, i was used to work with catia and when i switched to pro/e i thought it was so complicated. But when i understood the philosophy behind the features and learned to use all the functions i was amazed of the power it has. the wildfire 5.0 is incredibly simplified through the use of icons thus maintaining the conventional slide menus. You need to try a tutorial, there are plenty on ptc.com .

THIS IS MY PROBLEM!

Is there any way to only make it rotate within the limits of the casting?

Hi!

I do Inventor support for a living

Have you tried using contact sets?

If you still have trouble with it you can do a "Pack and Go" on the assembly and email it to me and I can see if I can fix it.

best regards

Nice to see some Inventor folks in here. I'm running on 11 and love it. Once I get done with some of my other projects I plan to get into a bumper build. I love what you're doing with that sheet metal design...

Hey did you ever find any information on constraining those JJ's? I can think of a few assemblies for work projects I could really use that on.

Here is some of my work... Some of the renderings were done in another program but still designed in Inventor 11. I design agricultural sprayers for a living.
