Default How do you lower a HiLift Jack

Ok so this may be a dumb question but how should a hilift jack lower, I just found a hilift (actually cheaper knockoff) and it wasn't working so I cleaned it all up and put it back together, it lifts up fine but it won't go down, I am wondering if I am missing a part or something its very annoying because its like 8 feet long now.

I will take a picture of it tomorrow if that helps

True hilift jacks have a lever on the left side that you put in the "up" position to raise it and the "down" position to lower it.

lots of times hilifts have a hard time going down unless there is weight on it...
