Google Jeepspeed... There are plenty of 2wd jeeps out there and plenty of parts for them. The suspension is the same as a 4x4.

Cool

A 2wd will have better on road performance than a 4x4 #1 because no transfer-case drag. Not to mention the drag if you don't have good freewheeling hubs up front. #3 They weigh less (see above).
I love mine & it is quick off the line for sure.

Merry Christmas to everyone in Jeep Land!

Absolutely love our '98 4X2 Cherokee.......wouldn't have bought it if had been 4X4 as our Son just doesn't need 4X4 for DD school transportation. I told him show me some good grades and a PowerTrax locker for the rear diff could be in the near future. I had lurked here and elsewhere for a while to get some feel for reliability as I've never owned a Jeep. Just bought ours at city auction with only 42K miles.

My Jeep outperforms my truck in 2wd, and 4wd, not in the mpg race, but on and offroad I feel its just the superior vehicle. And thats saying something as my Jeep is an 89 and my truck is an 03 sierra
