Default How big is the difference in off roading in a 4x2 vs 4x4 XJ

I have a 2001 sport 4x2 XJ and j was wondering how big is the difference in off roading in a 4x4, because I rarely ever get stuck.

If you can make it in 2wd, it's not wheeling.

Driving down a dirt road and rock crawling are way different things.

Night and Day, like stock 4x4 and one setup for hardcore off road. A lot of the time I still get stuck that's why I have a winch.

Do 4x2s even have low range? I can't imagine off roading here in Colorado without it.

There really is no comparison between the two. If you rarely get stuck in 2wd, you are probably sticking to fairly flat trails with minimal mud, rocks, snow, obstacles, etc. introduce any of those things into the equation, and you'll find out very quickly why 4wd is necessary.

With the recent snowstorm I would not even be able to get in and out of my driveway in 2WD!
