Default Hood-Scoops anyone? pic's needed

I was at my buddies shop and he was airbrushing a hood-scoop for a Chev Pickup. It looked absolutely amazing!!
So of course I want one for my XJ but I'd like to see some pic's of hood-scooped XJ's before I start looking into them. I don't want to waste my buddies time and talent, if it looks retro or stupid!!

Thanks a bunch

Default yup yup....

I'm having a cowl induction hood built with the addition of a forward facing scoop above the filter box, I'm ditching the bottom of the box and flipping the top over so that the filter faces upward, viola ram air + cowl induction, it's going to be a week or so but I'll post some pics of the build when I get into it. There is an ebay listing from a company in San Diego that makes fiberglass cowled hoods (that's who's doing mine) just search "Cherokee induction" and they should pop up, $299.00

Well I have one I made. I was not going for looks more for function and less noticeable but if worked on it could look better.
Btw I've jumped on it a few times before so it's gots some dents

DYI4luv, Thanks I'll check out those hoods, I'd love to see pic's when your done.

JeepingDan, thanks for the pic's. The scoop looks better than I had imaged in my head. oh, and I've been known to jump up on my hood too...lol but won't be doing that if I have custom work done on it!!

I'll post some pic's of the Chevy hood, I'm thinking it's kinda different from what we'd use for the XJ's

Yes you are more correct, heat vents essentially. Post pics if you go ahead before me, in fact I may just wait and learn.....

No, not up close. Damn body is really tough to weld. The hood is warped and needed a lot of Bondo. Next one will have a fiberglass old school scoop on it.
