Hood choices?
Hey guys, I'm going to repaint my XJ but wondering if there are options out there for hoods like cowl induction or whatever that I could buy, any ideas?

There are tons of options out there. Also look into the FAB section to see what others on here have done themselves

Most of the hoods I have seen have been fiberglass, there used to be someone out there that made cowl induction hoods out of steel (can't remember who, it was a long time ago), but they were discontinued or something. If you want cowl induction, your best bet will be to fab it yourself.

Also, go punch in the numbers in their cart...shipping is $299. Grand total of $732.99....even if they have it, that's ridiculous

Did you even read the links? First one I posted has a link to a fiberglass one...however it is $589 without shipping.

Probably also going to be a custom order, so it will take time, and expect shipping to be outrageous.
For that kind of money you can get a decent welder, find a hood at the scrapyard, build your own, and be ahead...plus you'll have a welder for future projects.

Guess that means there's not a lot of options out there, LOL

Just cut yourself a hole in the hood. Go to Home Depot and get a mail box. Knock the bottom out of the mail box and pop rivet it to the hood. BOOM! Instant hood scoop! You're welcome.
