Homebrew fender flares?
For my next project I'm thinking of trying to make some fender flares.
I really want to stuff some 33's on my rig, so i need to cut the fenders. Been looking at buying new flares but wow$!
Has anyone ever build any good looking tube fenders? Any other ideas? Pics would be great.
Btw, have my lift and wheels. Just trying to hold out and buy 33's. gonna start this mod soon i hope.

Not tube fenders but they are flat fenders. They look ****ty up close but that's only cause I want trying to make them look pretty. You could make them look pretty good if you took more than 3 hours to do it.
I have no issues stuffing 35s. The rear rubs a little at full lock on the bottom of the quarter panel.

Take a look at http://www.jeeptubes.com/shop they have some diy options pre bent so less guess work.

Jeep tubes is a rip off in my opinion. You can spend slightly more and buy bolt on armor with fenders...
Also at the OP mine are done with no welding if that is a requirement.

I plan on doing those with some 18g and 3/4" EMT. Under $50 in cost with lots of material left over and easy as hell to bend. Sure, they won't hold up to trees but they'll be easily replaced.
Just waiting til I get my plasma fixed and my rear quarters cut more.

Yes, I sometimes hang out with TJ owners.
If I had a welder, I would go this route. They look really nice.
