I also use an inverter that i have mounted under my passenger seat. I ran a small "indoor" extension cord out the rear passenger door opening up to the upper lights. For my grill ones, i ran a extension cord under my XJ, between my gas tank and gas tank skid and up thru the rear hatch, under the back seat, and then under my floormat to the inverter. Kind of a long route, but i couldnt find an easy way to get from the engine bay into the inside of my jeep.

Didnt think about that... Maybe ill try it, Im just picky on certain things. Only "problem" i see is 00-01 stock crossover bar things cant go all the way to the front of the roof. They end at about the back of the front doors and id need a way to keep them secured to the body without accidently slamming them in the door.

Thats what I was thinking. So you cut the male plug off, and spliced some wires. I wish there was a way for me to rig these lights up into my fog lights some how but make it so I can turn them on and off separately.

What your gona want to find is some lights that operate at 12-14V if you want to run them to your jeeps battery.

I used a small power inverter that just plugs into my cigarette lighter that was on sale for $9. I'm using an led xmas light string that's long enough to run a whole loop on my roof. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en

(notice my coworker's 87 Cherokee Chief behind my XJ lol, he didn't even know it had a Dana44 in it..)
I still have a couple things I wanna do but this is it for the most part.

Bought mine, but I haven't put em on yet. I've been working 12 hour shifts with a 45 minute commute. Lots of work and sleep; not much else. One day soon...
