hingeless hood vent
So i seen a post either on this forum or jeepforum where someone put hinge-less hood cents on his xj. They pop open and can close up if its raining. Does anyone know of or have this mod on their xj.

i thought about doing an old "air grabber" style, which is essentially the same thing you're talking about. just haven't gotten around to it, yet.

Well im going to try these out really hate cutting into my nice hood but oh well. As for placement the vents are long and not too wide im thinking about putting them both up to the front side of the hood to help the cai get colder air

I didnt really want to cut my hood either, so I vented it at the back instead. A TON of heat comes out of it, and I have never had any issues with it fogging during the winter.

for a real mopar air grabber, they are insanely expensive. but keystone makes copies for dodge ram trucks and even pt cruisers.
so, i'm sure they can be had for less than a couple hundred bux each, but i would just fab one up myself and use a pto cable for actuation from inside the cab.
