I'm looking for a good jack that will not break the bank. Is this a good one or will it bend or warp? Do I need a 48" or 60" for my XJ?

X2, Highlift brand is the way to go. Worse thing to do is cheap out over a couple $20.00 or so & have it break when you need it.
I have the 48", I don't have a need for the taller one, plus you gotta find somewhere to store it. 48" fits in the back.

You can pretty much lift anything you need to with the 48" HighLift and some 1.5 inch ratcheting tie down straps. Run the straps around the axle [ watch the brake lines! ] and then up to the frame rails, tighten the straps and when you jack the Cherokee up the axle will be raised.
Just make sure you have the rigs tires chocked and the jacks base is on firm ground, plus if you need to work on something like a broke axle that you put it on jack stands.

Get the 48". The taller you ratchet it the more unstable it becomes. It would be scary using the 60". If you need to get a tire off the ground just strap your axle to your bumper before lifting. It will come off he ground instantly as opposed to 50" later when your jeep is sliding sideways.
And of course there are also the storage concerns.
