Default HID headlights

Has anyone put them on their xj or seen one with them? Thinking of getting a conversion kit

If they are I'm probably gonna get some after I get my Jeep running right again. I would just like some input before I shell out the cash on lights

I had HIDs for a while. I had them removed. Unless you have real projectors (not the fake EBAY junk), you are going to blind people.

I got a heavy-duty headlight harness from LMC Truck and Autopal headlight housings. I can see just as well with this headlight setup as I could with the HIDs.

With the HIDs, I blinded everybody with the regular low-beam. Now with the heavy-duty harness and new housings, I don't blind anybody with the low-beams, and with the high-beam, I light up the world.

X2 Our housings are not made for hids, therefore the light does not spread evenly in return blinding people. The only way to properly use them is to retrofit real projectors in the housings which a few have done with great results. I also have the autopals and upgraded wire harness and the light output is great. That's the way to go IMO.

It's not the hids that blind, it's the housing that don't properly distribute the light.
