Herculined XJ interior questions
I'm going to herculiner my floor in the coming weeks. I plan to roll on 4-5 coats. I have the three following questions:
1) I was wondering does anyone know of any type of coating I could use to help the excessive heat I am going to gain from not having any carpet or padding?
2) where at in the interior is the best place to start removing trim pieces to get to bare floor?
3) is this also a good time to redo the headliner?
Thanks for the help in advance.

For the heat. I'd look at making a heat shield to go between the exhaust and the body and the trans and the body. That should reflect a good portion of the heat.

What year XJ? The center console isn't that big of a pain to take off. I have a 92 that did not come with a factory center console. I went to a pull-a-part and snagged one. I had that one out and in my jeep in the matter of an hour if not less. But, the center console I got came out of a 96. I'm not sure of the changes between 96 and below and 97 and up.
