Default Helppppp!

I suffer from death wobble really bad and today while on my way home from work my XJ went into death wobble so bad that my engine began to miss. Then my CEL came on po300, po303....(Random Missfire) cylinder 6 and 1. Well I checked all my plug wires and electrical connections they seem okay.

Tried to pull each plug wire to check for a weak cylinder but engine changed on every pull.

It sucks cuz I gotta be at work early and its 50 miles away....

Anybody ever heard of death wobble causing engine issues? Are serious mechanical issues a possibility by extreme engine vibrations? It seems that Jeep would have seriously tested these things in a vibration machine or something.

YES! DW can cause all kinds of stuff to break or bend. Mine was so bad(all I needed was my front tires balanced) it shook my muffler loose and destroyed my front tires... a few other things as well but you get the idea.

In the future, you may find that you get more responses if you post your tech question in the correct thread. There is a thread specific to OEM Cherokee Tech that's frequented by many very knowledgeable folks.

Cherokee Chat is specifically non-tech.

Glad to read you figured out what the problem was, though.
