Some people say installing hood vents help bring down their engine temp.

rewire your electric fan so you can turn it on manually. turn ir on right away, its kept mine from over heating on the trails since i did it.

Run a higher water to coolant ratio. 70% water to 30% coolant will help, and add some water wetter too. Water will absorb heat faster than coolant.

I was getting pretty friggin hot, on the trails.
...So, I put hood spacers between my hood & hinges....havent had an overheating problem since.
You can really feel the heat POURING out from under there. One of the best Mods Ive done for the summer, thus far.
Another great thing about these is, when winter comes....If you have a winter....You can take these out, without any permanent consequences done to the hood.

I think there is a write up on how to do this, and also how to install hood vents. Between the aforementioned mods, you should be good to go.

I used to have a mustang that ran a little hot. I would run a product called water wetter you add it to the coolant and i helps keep temps down about 10*. Always worked for me.
