Exclamation Help with shifting back to 2wd!!!

My wife was driving my 95 grand cherokee and she pulled on the 4wd shifter thinking it was the parking brake. This morning i go to drive it and its stuck in part time and wont shift back to 2wd when i try and turn the vehicle it starts to stall and struggle how can i fix this?

Did you try putting the trans in neutral and pushing the transfer case all the way back up?

yes and it didnt work it stayed but at soon as i tried turning to the wheeel sharrp while reversing it popped right back into part time
