Default Help me pick between some OEM Jeep wheels

So I just bought a 97 Cherokee sport and one of the first things I need to address is the wheels/tires. It came with some spare Canyon style wheels (at least that's what I think they are called) and I can pick up the polished aluminum wheels from a Wrangler for a good price.
Which wheels do you like better?

EDIT: After reading some of the first few posts I should say, I'm not painting either set of wheels black. I've had black wheels on a black vehicle and for me, it gets really old really fast.

Canyon

Or the polished aluminum wheels. Not sure what they are actually called but they kinda look like polished grizzleys, but a little different.

Also a second question, how do you guys like the look of an XJ with anthracite bullitt rims? Don't mind the small tires on there, these were just pulled from my Mustang.

Of those three, I'd go with the polished ones (get them painted, unless you like that sort of thing) then the canyon wheels. Personally, I would stay away from the Mustang wheels.

I think the Moabs are the best looking Jeep wheel, but I have a little bias.

In the end, it's all up to what you like!

It looks like you got a great deal there Danny.

I think I would use the Canyons and leave the shiny stuff and bullitts on the Mustangs.

A lot of guys paint their wheels black instead if that approach appeals to you. Just a suggestion.

I'd still stick with the canyons for now to get through the winter and see what you're feeling like in the spring after you've had the XJ for a while........and want bigger tires and a lift kit.

What is that style of Wrangler wheel called, the polished one? I can't find much online about it and the only year I can find that it comes on is a 2000 TJ. If it's a non-common wheel I might not get the set since it'd be hard to find a matching wheel if I ever bent one or whatever...

I like the 2nd rims, the polished ones. They look real nice. The first rims just look too blah imo - just like most other Cherokees and not so nice looking to begin with. The Mustang rims aren't so bad - if you're making a street Jeep of sorts go with them, but I wouldn't wheel with those... also, if you do use the stang rims, get rid of the center caps! haha.

I hear you on the Canyons being too blah. Everyone complains that polished rims shouldn't go on a Jeep because "it's a Jeep" and it doesn't matter how it looks as long as it gets around in the rough terrain... but there's not a whole lot of rough terrain on my 6 mile drive across the city. I bought a Jeep because it's reliable, easy to work on, and 4wd. As long as I'm not going to be beating on it, I want it to look nice. For the price, I think I'm going to pick up the TJ wheels anyway. I'm sure someone would want them if I don't end up using them.

Also why wouldn't you wheel with the Mustang rims? And yeah, I'll be selling the center caps and getting some different ones lol Lucky for me the new sixxer Mustangs have a 4.0, so they make center caps that say 4.0 that I can pick up fairly cheap

Best OEM wheels:
Ravines
Moabs
Gamblers
Canyons
The rest...

I vote for the canyons because they are a 8 inch wide wheel.

Well I didn't get the Wrangler wheels, but in my search for better tires I came across a set of four barely used 235/75/15 tires on some nice Ranger "deer hoof" wheels. Got them for a good price and I saved money since I won't have to pay the shop to mount the tires.

Here's a quick MS Paint picture of what my Jeep will look like with the Ranger wheels.

Those should work well enough to get you through the snowy winter around here. It does seem strange seeing Ranger wheels on an XJ though.

When you decide to lift her up then you can always resell them and go bigger.

Yeah I think they'll look fine.

And I would lift it up and put some 31's on but there's no place to wheel around here and I'd do 90% highway driving anyway...
