Don't mean to hijack but I have a question for Xj4life92, I just ordered my 4.5 inch lift along with a lowered track bar... should I get the drop pitman arm that they offer?

 

did a quick google search....my jeeps not home right now otherwise id measure them.

Note: * These lift heights were included where the shock lengths were found. These were the suggested shocks for that amount of lift. I have no way to ensure these are accurate.

if you put it on and experience bump steer. you might be alright.

 

Thanks there XJ4life92...The lengths of the RC shocks are very comparable to those Bilsteins. Actually within 1/2 of an inch of the shocks that come with the Series II kit which is strange since the Bilsteins for sale are 4.5" lift shocks?.
Only issue I see, is that they are for a ZJ, and I was told the rear ZJ shocks mount differently than our XJ's. At least thats what the RC employee told me...

The lengths are compareable to the RC shocks that come with the kit.
RC shock lengths: Front: 24.5" extended/14.52" collapsed...Rear: 25" extended/14.9" collapsed
Bilstein shock lengths: Front: 24.61" extended/14.98" collapsed...Rear: 24.59" extended/15.48" collapsed
