Help keep blowing fuse for brake taillights.

Default Help keep blowing fuse for brake taillights.

Keep blowing brake light fuse.disconnected both taillights and brake switch still blowing fuse.any suggestions.thanks

Don't have any trailer harness. It started left rear brake light socket melted.went to replace fuse keeps blowing.disconnected both tailligjts plus brake switch.still blows fuse.any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is near the melted part......

Disconnected the melted light socket at the connector still blows fuse

Then it's melted somewhere else also.

Unplug the turn signal harness under the column. Long flat connector.

All the lights directionals blinkers hazard work fine everything but brake lights.

but brake lights run through the turn signal switch also.

OK your saying check turn signal for short ok will look at it.I'm at work rite now.will let you know.thanks for your help
