Hey guys,

Im still kinda new to working on my jeep so I need some help. I have a stock suspension and want to upgrade cause everything is drooping. What would be the best suspension upgrade? I go off road occasionally and this is my daily driver. Im also planning on getting an air compressor and impact wrench cause im tired of doing everything with a breaker bar or a gigantic pipe! any suggestions?

Do you want to just replace the sagging pieces with new pieces, or do you want to lift the suspension? If you lift then there is more involved than just the suspension itself.
I suggest you take a look at numerous websites that reccomend a compressor for what you are using. Need to look at the psi as well as the cfm that it puts out.

Since 3" is a common lift, I'll use it as a reference. In addition to springs and a full leaf pack, longer shocks to match the lift, longer brake lines front and rear, adjustable track bar, possibly a SYE, lower control arms are reccomended for being stronger and setting the correct caster angle, extended sway bar ends or quick discos. I may be missing something here. ZJ tie rod for the steering is a common upgrade. If lifting it is an opportune time to replace worn ball joints or other pieces as well. May need new u-joints if they don't like their new angle.
Do your research and plan ahead. There are cheap kits, expensive kits, incomplete kits. A lot of experience on this forum to help, learn from others mistakes and insight.

 

What is your budget? The higher your budget, the better and more parts you can go. What do you plan on doing with your jeep? Like jay_sco stated... I think he just about sums it up. I would replace all 4 control arms as your bushings are probably shot anyways. Just remember, the higher you go, the more expensive it becomes

 

Look at 3 inches or 3.5 keep it under 4 inches,Make sure the lift has full leaf springs in the rear not the add a leaf those suck.
