Also if you don't regrear, your going to lose power, along with mpg.

Is there a way to gain that power back by say new air intake or new muffler without regearing yet

Those may help a little but its not going to be much, I would just get some gears in a few months if you really didn't like it.

Yeah true that idk ill just have to see i dont think it will be anytime soon but prob in a month or 2, how much do gears and instalation usually cost. ''oh and ha hey wiggles what up, stalkin my thread huh LOL''

Like i Said before i lost no power. 386k on the odo and 35s with 3.55 gears I have the same power as a xj with 118k on 31s

pieced together on my iPhone using my uber l337 hax skilz.

Split the difference and run 34s. I run 34s on a 4.5 RC shortarm.. Picture was taken before I trimmed about a inch and a half off the front flares. No rubbing and IMO skinny tires look good on the boxy style of a xj..

I love my 35's. But not without gears. What a pig. It wouldn't even climb a stump in 4 high. Have to drive on the highway in third gear, and hope you never need to pass someone.
Can you do it, sure.
Is it right, absolutely not, and I would never do it without the intent of re gearing.
I drove a week while I waited for my 4.88's

Alright well ill just have to see the power for myself odgreen said he lost none so maybe mine will be similar, plus how much would gears and instalation cost maybe down the road ill do it

Sweet I like it I know in the future im going to put some full widths or something on but I think I'll just roll on 35 and stock gears till I get new axles

Here's mine on 6.5 and 35s with 16x8 but im running 3.55s. Kind of a turd but its just fine until I get my 4.88s

i got the same lift and 35s the only thing that sucks with it as soon as your springs and your shocks start to go weak u start to rip chunks out of your tread so get a 2 inch lift shackles pucks for the front and some longer shocks looks so much better lol

i'd stay 33's for now, 3.55 can push 35's but i wouldnt unless you get new gears

i take it this is your DD?
