Default Help

Recently had a rough country lift installed. Just noticed my front left tire is sitting farther out than my right (judging by the fenders) is this normal or should I be worried. Thanks Sam (1993 Cherokee sport)

This is normal if whoever installed your lift did not relocate the stock track bar. Buy an adjustable one suitable for the amount of lift you have and re-center the axle, or take the stock one off at the axle end, center the axle, and drill new holes in the bracket for the stock track bar.

Right on man. Being a novice is this something I could tackle on my own with jack stands and basic tools or should I take it to a shop?

If it is a DD then you should get an adjustable track bar. I drilled a new hole on mine. It is strictly for off road use so I will buy an adjustable one someday.

To drill a new hole all you need is a long drill bit the same size as the bold. I used a tap on mine as well to ensure it wouldn't wobble the hole bigger. I also used washers. You want a long bit so that you can drill straight instead of at an angle. I used a ratchet strap to get my axle centered and level and tape measure to figure out how much to go.

you don't need to have it on jack stands to install it. it should be sitting on its own weight. you might need a rachet strap or something to center the axle before you tighten everything up.

If you don't know what you are doing, then have someone who does, install and set it up for you. Its your life that hangs.

I don't know what I'm doing, but am going to teach myself as I go by reading on here and YouTube videos it seems like something that I easily learned and if I take my time, shouldn't mess it up too bad
