Hella 500FF lights - updside down?
I bought a pair of Hella 500 FF Driving Lights for my JCR Bumper, and after mounting them up high, thought they looked a little "goofy", especially since my Cherokee is not lifted and pretty much stock except for the bumper.
So, I mounted it "below" the hoop, and thought it looked better, but I will need to fab up a bolt to make it work. While that isn't a big deal, I am a little concerned about the fact that the lights say "TOP" on the end opposite of the bolt, and I would be hanging them upside down.
So my question is: will mounting them upside down throw a weird pattern on the road, or blind oncoming drivers? I haven't connected anything yet, and wanted to get some feedback before I wired them in.
Below are the two pics, above and below, just for giggles... Thanks gang!

you could drill holes or something onto the bumper itself and put them there, I think that would look pretty good

The pattern can be adjusted by moving the lights around. But do not use them while in the presense of oncoming drivers, you will blind them no matter how you have them set up.
I have two mounted at an angle and the pattern is like this "\ /". But it is still better than my brights on dark roads.

The only reason I'd say no to upside down would be if water could get in the light someway being upside down.Is there a rubber seal where the bolt comes out of the light? If so,you should be ok. IMO, looks better upside down.

I had the same bumper and the same lights on my MJ. I mounted them on top for a couple reasons.
1. Airflow to the radiator
2. Protection for the lights
3. And most importantly I think it looks cooler.
