Just got back from a trip and at a difficult section mine (almost un-armored XJ) went right up. I only have tank armor. Others with full armor got up but struggled. Front/read bumper, belly, sliders, tank armor must weigh 1000lbs.
All with rear locking and open fronts and similar size and type tires.
Was I just lucky one time or does weight matter? Thoughts?

Even with 1/4 plate bumpers and armor shouldnt be anywhere close to 1000 pounds. Its all fairly evenly distributed as well.
Tires, lockers, gearing, tire pressure, ect are the biggest factors physically.

They are right its more driver skill and the line you pick vs how good the jeep is set up.Its like if you jump in any race car you won't run the same times as a pro driver your first time out.To me a t case and gas tank skid plates are a must the rest is more to protect the body like rock sliders and body armor.
