Default Heater cores SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I got a little farther tonight. Holy crap, who ever designed the heater box needs a swift kick in the fing nads!!!!!!!!! Hopefully I will have the old out tomorrow and start putting this thing back together. I will never do this again

They pretty much suck to get to in about every car ever made. Proper maintenance goes a long way in making them last though.

I have never had a failure with a heater core before, and hope I never do again . I guess I knew what I was getting into when I bought it, oh well its taken care of and I have some extra change and a new door key

Mine is a pain in the butt too... As I mentioned elsewhere, I wish all heater cores were as easy to get to as in my Ranger...

First changing the coolant at correct intervals to prevent corrosion. You can also use distilled water as this helps prevent deposits and corrosion that may come from tap water. A system flush can also remove any potential corrosion and/or deposits that would potentially clog a heater core. Also making sure your Anti Freeze and Water mix is correct with a tester.
