Dude, I just seen that last night searching for XJ parts. I also drive an 89 by the way.

I agree it is ugly. The little push bar with tow hooks wasn't too bad though.

I agree that grill is butt ugly.
But don't make fun of JC Whitney. LOL.
Way back when, before the internet when it was paper catalogs and mail order, when I owned my '46 CJ2A when I was a kid JC Whitney was my best friend for some parts.
I never did it, toyed with the idea, but you could buy a brand new frame for a CJ2A from them.
The VW guys back in the day used to say the same thing.

 

JCW??.... I wouldn't be surprised. My first thought was looked similar to what I remember seeing on mid-80s generations of GMC Jimmy/Chevy S-10s.
Either way... definitely butt ugly.. IMO...lol

 

Alright guys, though wanna share with u all after what i found out more about this grille, it not homemade not from JCW or whatever it came off special edition know as "Street Comanche" only made 100 in California beleive only came in red and blue, some grille are black some are chrome. See picture below, by the way i got it! I know it ugly but i want to have it haha i have 2 MJ myself and lifted XJ.
