I was leaving my parents house a couple hours ago driving down their very dark road when I saw an ambulance and fire engine driving toards me in the distance. I pulled off into the ditch a bit to far and ended up getting stuck. It was wetter than I thought outisde I guess so my back wheel was just spinning away. Thinking to myself "Dude, youre in a ****in Jeep." I calmly put the gears into 4WL and putted right out like I was never stuck at all. It was fantastic and I now love my Cherokee just a little more than yesterday.

I like this thread, I'll be grinning all day now!
We all gotta start somewhere, mine was an all day event with my YJ.
I permanently damaged my left knee that day, dislocating the knee cap.
This was all due to the front axle disco not having any vacuum from P/O.

my 4wd cherry got popped in an '84 GMC Jimmy S15 2.2l v6 auto with a 2-barrel carb offroading which prolly didn't have any business doing so but made it through stuff up to the fenders and wheeled better than a built '89 K1500 with lift and tires...

Yeah, it was the first time I HAD to use the 4WD in THIS TRUCK. I bought it already lifted with brand new tires and a snorkel, I didnt have to blow a **** ton of cash to get mine where it is like you did. I dont go off looking for a reason to **** up my daily driver and I never had to use the 4WD until the other night. That was ment to be a testament to the Cherokee's drivetrain, not an excuse to run off the the internet and try to strangers.Originally Posted by mcguyver_xj

A little jealous here
My Cherokee 4x4 cherry has yet to be popped. I thought I would get it when I drove to work last week during a snowstorm in about 6 inches of wet unplowed snow, but nope didn't have to get her out of 2wd. Oh well, I know my time is coming... For the record, Wrangler Duratracs kick *** in the snow!

easy man. ain't nobody pickin' on ya. most of us use our XJs for a daily driver. just because you don't take it offroad regularly doesn't mean that you can't have some fun with it. after all, you didn't buy a prius for a daily driver... you bought a jeep.Originally Posted by M4RK
