I thought they stopped the upcountry package in 97. How is it possible for your 99 to have it? Just curious. Maybe I'm wrong

Upcountry was always an option, but they are few and far between, a least for a full out one with all the factory skids, 1" lift an front and rear tow hooks.

Yes it's an option, but what I read online, that option is only available from 93 to 97

So I wonder if I installed skid plates and some tow hooks and stuff. Can I say my jeep got the upcountry package? Lol

Hit up Chrysler for a build sheet then and find out. Tow hooks and skids were available without Up Country

I know my jeep don't have upcountry option. I was just saying that if I installed all the stuff that came with the country package, can I say that my jeep got it? Or do it have to be that way from the factory?

I just don't see how his jeep got the upcountry package especially after they stopped offering the option in 97

I've seen a few post-97 XJs around with full skids hooks and the 1" springs. and you could tell they weren't driven by someone who wrenched themselves....also post-97s do have the cut outs in the front air dam for the tow hooks, most of them just aren't installed.

Yeah I got that. Maybe they had those options past '98 but didn't call it country.
