I currently own a 95 Cherokee and have a good opportunity on a 99 Grand Cherokee, 4.7L V8. This car is from a mechanic friend and I have complete maintenance records. However, I am considering buying a Wrangler, no particular year yet, but would like a 4.0L, I6. I've owned Wranglers in the past and know the I6 pretty well now. Any advice on the 99 Grand Cherokee, i.e. problems, performance. Don't want to blow this money on the wrong vehicle. It would be a second vehicle used on weekends for trips to the store, vacations, etc... Thanks in advance.
