At the local junkyard, I found a nice OHC out of a 97 Grand Cherokee, and I wasn't sure if it was the same as the 97-01 Cherokee, I found out it was only $13 so I figured it was worth a shot.
Is it compatible??
I took the first foot of the harness as I didn't know if the factory harness had a way to mount it in or if I needed to create a harness.

it's almost impossible to get it in and make it work. The hanging connections are different and the way it reads the data are different.
On naxja there is someone who has done it with all new wiring and there is no temp reading.
best bet is to keep looking for one out of an xj.
