Please keep in mind this poll is for RENIX XJ owners ONLY!
I have been experimenting with a new program of mine, and I am curious to know if any of you Renix owners would be interested in an adapter kit for a H/O Throttle body?
The stock Renix throttle body IIRC is only 53mm with no real room for upgradability. Sure you can swap for a H/O intake manifold, but considering the cost of the manifold, TB, etc plus shipping usually runs for a pretty coin. If my design is correct and is PROVEN to work, the kit would include:
Again, this is a MAYBE. Nothing set in stone. As far as a price, if the materials I have found are as quoted, I am guessing a price per kit would be around $50, give or take depending on the price of materials. If there is enough interest, I will build a prototype and send it to someone who will pay for the shipping and will give me feedback on the functionality of the product. I will also do a local test with a friend of mine with a Renix XJ.
This kit would NOT come with an H/O throttle body.

- An H/O throttle body-to-Renix intake manifold adapter machined from aluminum
- An adapter for the Renix TPS
- A Renix gasket and H/O throttle body gasket
- Mounting hardware
- Instructions

I think Hesco used to make one but don't know if they still do so check into it. Besides checking on competition can give you more ideas on your design and price range.

I did look at a Hesco unit, and aside from the steep price tag for both the TPS adapter and throttle body adapter, I didn't really see an EGR port. My design takes a slightly different approach.
