so got my build sheet... says normal 3.55 gears( i thought maybe 3.73 with the way it drives) (havent popped the covers to count yet) and nothing about tow package installed... i do have a hitch that isnt u haul and the trans cooler that were installed before i or the po bought it. so the ppo or pppo most likely did the mods if they were additional. i said id share so here it is.

My 90 had a hitch, axle, and trans cooler for towing from factory, but didn't actually have the tow package. Found this out after I tore out the hack job some one did to put in a four pin trailer wire, only to find out I couldn't buy the factory harness 1 because they didn't sell it anymore at the dealership and 2 when I gave them my vin for a build sheet they told me I didn't have the tow package ergo no harness to attach if I found one at the jy.
So I got to put in a much less hack job four pin of my own.

All the gears from 1990 were either 3.07, or 3.55 behind 4.0. Not sure on 1989 and older
