Post Going 3 inch lift...

So i decided to flip going down a mountain

a few days ago...
Not to much damage busted the window getting out

Now for the rebuild, i crunched the front right a little bit but nothing to bad.

Im going with a 3 to 3.5 inch lift, and a quick disconnect swaybar and 31x10.5x15 inch tires is there any cutting or anything (transfer case drop) or anything else in that nature i need to do to do this build right im going on a $1100 budget for this after replacing the window and fixing the fender.

If you stay at 3" or less, you should be fine. I'd get adjustable lower control arms no matter what. At 3" you "shouldn't" get drive line vibrations but that not a guarantee.

Might want to check that frame for damage though I'm sure you've thought of that.

I had a custom length shaft made for the rear by the guy who operates the jy near me. My factory one was 32 1/8th from end to end and stuck out far on the output shaft on the tcase. New one is 33.5 end to end and the ride is awesome. It was around $80 when i traded my old one.

That's all i felt i needed with the 3" lift aside from longer lca and adjustable track bar to center the axle.

If you go with something like a Rustys Off Road 3" full leaf/coil/shock/hardware pkg. (about $450) with excellent quality leafs, coils made in NA. I ran this kit for a year and then using it raised my lift to 4 1/2".

As for extras you can get by with stock control arms at 3" and save a little money and add them later if you want. That is if you buy the correct wheels a set of cheap steel ones ($50-70 ea.) a 15x8" with 3.75-4" of BS for the tires you want. You will want to buy an Adj. Track Bar the TC drop kit may or may not be required varies from XJ to XJ. That should take care of everything including tires/wheels in your budget.

That will give you the must have's and you can choose any extras you want never buy a big kit always buy a basic kit and build on it with quality parts, like better shocks Bilstein 5100's all the kit shocks are cheap ones but work I ran mine for a year.

You may still need to do a little bit of trimming or a lot of bumpstop, I would cut some for more off road clearance.

Got a Zone 3 inch lift on mine only cost $400 , just make sure to get the leaf springs and not the add a leaf . I installed the TC drop but didn't really need to , I had rubbing with 31 inch tires on front fender . So far no problems with the lift other then shocks are very bad .

That kit must not be a full rear leaf setup is it an AAL? With the Rustys lift you can get the front coils for a reg. 3" lift of for a winch/bumper setup same price and they hold up zero sag with mine.

So I had that set up 3" on 31s, Only rubbed my LCA's at full lock on stock wheels. But I was already trimmed so I cant say anything on fender rubbing.

The jeep looks good, Zone has good lift kit. What shocks are you going to get?

Ok first off, glad you're ok. Now on to buisness. If you did this on a stock suspension, take note that lifting your rig will now change your center of gravity. This will increase your chances of happening again if you dont change your driving habits. With that now said, have fun and drive safe.
