Thinkin of gettin a winch.. Can anyone talk me into it?

 

if you dont know how valuable they are and why you would need one, dont ask stupid questions.

thinking about getting some tires. why do I need them?

 

Because they are $289 with free shipping in the vendor section right now?

 

You could go wheeling with none jeeps now and not be scorched you can't get out if you get stuck

 

I always go with a friend so I dono if I need to spend the money on one. I'm on A budget so..

 

so dont buy one then.......

 

You'll need a winch bumper if you get a winch, and most likely a better battery.
I've never NEEDED a winch either. Just don't do things that could get you stuck. Like drive through mud pits, terrible terrain, etc.

 

It's better to have one and not need it than to need one and not have it.

if you don't get a winch at least get a come-along he## get two.

If your jeep breaks down you can winch it onto a trailer instead use a highlift as a winch in the rain like i did.

 

Reason? I don't need no stinking reason!! LOL. Seriously a winch can be an invaluable tool added to any 4x4.. many many uses

 

I hydrolocked my jeep a few years ago in this.

I went alone.. bad idea. i winched out on optima red top power.... then did all the work right there.

bottom line. winch saved my @ss.
