you might say this is my fault. i bought a 8.25 on Monday and was told that it had 3.73 gears. i had stock 3.07's. 3.73's were what i wanted and this guy hadn't been emailing back pissing me off. its a trussed Chrysler 8.25. i just had to swap the brakes from my d35 over.
so to start a simple half day project turned into a long 2 day project.
the wrong brakes were ordered for me, i told them what i wanted! so i ended up having the drums turned and called it good. i got new shoes.
the dipstick welded over the breather on the 8.25.... so the new breather is on the diff cover, i hate that its there but i rather not have the extra metal shavings in the tube.
so i get that done and the brakes finally swapped over and install the axle, bleed the breaks. everything is going good. but not that i can see what ive got i decide to count the teeth, i ****ING hate this guy. the axle has 3.55's in it! so i went through all this frustration and went from 3.07 to 3.55.
until i either get the front regeared to 3.55 or regear th front to 3.73 and regear the read to 3.73 im stuck as a poser in 2WD mode. at least ive got 4LOW for a "crawl" when pulling the boat up steep launchs. and a bunch of guys are going out in 2 weeks, if they told me 2 days earlier i wouldve left the damn 3.07's in a little longer.

it just really pisses me of since the guy most likely knew that they were 3.73 and was lying to me. if he thinks im dealing with him agian hes truly retarded.
