Just purchased 2001 cherokee and noticed tonight that the light for the shift lever position is not illuminated. Hard to see at night. Looking for suggestions on if there is a bulb to replace and how to get to it.

 

I know on my 87 there is a little bulb under the shifter bezel,all I had to do to replace it was just pull up the bezel.Should be the same on yours.

"prindle" is what they call PRNDL

Anyway, like has been said, the bulb will be under the bezel.

Thanks, they both were there under the PRNDL and the 4x4 lever. Easy to service. I replaced with 194 bulbs since thats what the autozone and jeep dealer had. They seem very bright and warm to touch on the lense of the bezels after on for a while. I understand that there is a 168 bulb that also fits the socket. Do you know if one or the other is a lower watt?
