Default GF Smashed my Cherokee up!

Oh noes!!!!

Went to the wreckers and grabbed some parts, and it took me about 8 hours to get her to look like this:

Feels good man. Now I have an excuse to paint her.

BTW here is a picture of a bikini clad woman for checking out my thread:

EDIT by Mod: Sorry, family site and we dont allow those images for the children and women who may not want to see it.

The hardest part was bending the brackets back into a shape. I used some dollies a piece of angle iron, a 2x4 and various body hammers to return the mounting surface and bracket to as close to original shape as I could.

Other than that there is 2 torx bolts inside the door, some across the top. 3 down the front bolted to the bracket you can see in the pic. There is also two bolts at the bottom heel that like to break the clips if they are rusty, they might need to be cut off. The last thing holding will be a rivet on the fender well. I used a small chisel and punch to remove it and put a small bolt and nut to replace.

As for the warning no hard feelings, but for those wondering I did not post anything you cannot see at your local beaches!

So did the GF do this in conjuntion with another car by accident? Or was the pic of the new GF that the old one found out about before you told her....and used a sledgehammer?

It does, I am gonna have to tinker with some things. The fender also does not line up perfectly but I am going to tweak it when I replace my front oil seal.

After I clean up some rust I am also going to paint her myself. I want to do an olive green but the GF likes orange (the new coppery colour you see around often now) so I will decide in the next few weeks. Will post pics after.

I also might do a few write-ups with pics the next time I work on her. I will be doing the front oil seal, axle u-joints, and possibly hubs.
