When I did mine I wanted good quality.

If you're gonna spend the money do it right the first time.

Look at randys ring and pinion for good prices.

I have done it already once, but wrong. So its too noisy, and once when we drove in water, I got water into the differential and it demaged the diff. bearings and it had to be done again, but still its too noisy. I have got 4,11. But now I would like to do it correctly and have quiete in the car

x2 on Randy's, give them a call. I doubt seriously that the gears are Dana Spicer brand, they said Motive, don't know who makes Motive now, or if they're made in the USA, I know they used to be good parts. Yukon bought Superior, so any new gears from Superior are actually Yukons. Some think these are not the best. I would buy Dana Spicer brand whenever possible for the 30 and 35, none available for the 8.25. I would be wary of Chinese gears (or maybe I'm just paranoid)

motive makes a very good gear along with randys, superior and yukon. as far as being made in the USA i dont think any are now. at least not the cheap ones. if i were to buy gears i would get either motive or superior.

And what do you say about "Optimums"? I found few of these. I am not sure if should I buy 4.88 or 4,56 I want to run 33" tires. And I think that the slower, the better, but not sure about that watchword.
And one more question, is there any differenc on Dana 30's in the front? I read somewhere, that pinion can be shorter or longer. How can I find that out, what kind is in my diff?
Thanks

There is a high pinion dana 30, that is reverse cut. Found on YJs and XJs 84-99, and not sure what others. The low pinion dana 30 is standard cut and found on the TJs, and ??? You probably have the HP D30. I just ordered my gears from Robert RWKHausSupply.com

Best prices I could find, and believe me, I looked everwhere. I emailed him a few times, and he responded right away. Good service so far.

It showed up too expensive from this guy, so I will probably get those from ebay. The shipping is horrible
