Default Gear question

ok so the spider gears broke on the rear end of my XJ. It has 3.55's in a D35 and i came across some gears that were 3.54's? will they work without having to change the front gears?

Yes but if you just broke the spiders swap them not the ring and pinion unless the spiders got into the ring and pinion and killed them.

Spiders are inside an open diff. If the ring gear is gone you have to replace it and the pinion, they are a matched set. If you mismatch a ring and pinion you will knife edge the gears and break them.
