Default Front Springs

My 89 had a 3" lift that was on it when I bought it. My questions is that the front springs feel really stiff when I hit a bump. We have a ton of water runoff ruts in the desert in AZ and I am concerned the stiffness of the front end will result in many trips to dentist. I haven't had it offraod yet as been working on replacing front end components. Is there a huge difference between the spring on a lift and stock spring in regards to stiffness? I am new to this and learning. Thanks

Do you know what 3" lift kit is on there? If everything else under the Jeep is fine, tie rods, ball joints, drag link, etc etc....shocks man...you need good shocks.

I have no idea what brand the lift is. Real smooth ride on pavement tho. Guess I'll know more once I get dirt under the tires. I have replaced all tie rods, steering dampner, upper and lower control arms, steering box, Ball joints are good.

Ok? Newbie question, how would the rear leaf shackles affect the stiff front end? Or is it a huge explanation? On pavement is rides great it's just the front end pounds when I hit a rut or something like that.

Still plays apart in how your suspension is moving, how hard you feel the hit. I'm trying to get a feel of what is up with your suspension. And tell me what kind of shocks you have. Now stop asking questions, newb! Lol
