Default Front Bumper Inner wheel well

I have seen a lot of pics of new bumpers on here but would like to see how you trimmed your inner wheel wells. Just hack at them? thanks

I just used a pair of sheet metal sheers to cut it... your talking about the rubber lining right? Granted eventually I just took it out altogether.

yes the rubber liner (wheel well) I saw a pic of the bumper that I want from Littleleonard and the liner was not trimmed. Was just wondering what the steps involved were. Pics are always good too..LOL

Here's before I cut and I still had em, like I said, pretty easy to cut with some sheet metal sheers... regular scissors would work too, just a little harder, simply cut flush with the body and your done, no extra steps. (Old pic that I used to point out the swaybar to someone)

Do you get water and mud in your engine bay after you remove the fender lining?

i am very curious about this too. After I trimmed fenders the inner wheel well lining was cut too far which created gaps. has there been a quick fix to seal off spray from the wheels?

i removed mine. there's a few small holes which those little push pins that were holding the lining up went in but there's no other way for mud and water to get in the engine bay. only thing exposed is the door hinge, and the antenna motor (passenger side if you have it).

I will try to get a pic some time i trimmed at less as i could and folded them back up toward the new bumper. Marked it off and drill some 1/8" holes into the top of the bumper. attached with #10-32 screws and a large washer to hold the plastic. looks good except i used some black button head allen srews that have a little rust on them - should have shot them with some paint.

cant even really tell

Mine doesn't get that much under the hood at all, very little mud considering.
