I just built my first one with my dad. Use all the bolts you can. Go all the way back to the sleeved one. Cut the side of your fenders like the 97+ models, it will be much easier to work with. Oh and take lots of pictures for us.

Hey glad to here your gonna have a father son project build with your dad. Wish I could still do that but unfortunately I lost my dad to a car accident at a young age. Hope you guys have a great time bonding. I didn't build my bumper brush guard combo, its just the factory bumper just trimed up and a brush guard I found in the local junk yard off of another cherokee for 50 Bucks. But here's a pic to kinda go buy for reference if you need to.

Hey thanx, ya my family and I were hit by a drunk driver, in which the accident killed my Dad, Mom, And Older Brother.. I was only sixteen at the time of the accident, just my little sister and I survived. But that was 13 years ago and I had to grow up fast...... If you need any more pics of my brush guard just shoot me a pm and let me know. I'll post them for ya. Hope you and your father have a great time building it. Cherish every moment you can. Cause believe me when I say anything can happen to anyone at any given time of the day.

Here's my brush guard I had installed last week. Lights work real well too for being $25 Walmart ones! At first, I had them as running lights, aimed low, but now I have them aimed high because the guard kind of impaired my high beams. Now, I only run the aux lights on the guard driving home on the country roads - it really illuminates farther up the road and on the sides of the road!
