floor board is all rusted
my floor board is all rusted and has some holes any suggestions on repairing it please help

Hi i got a 98jeep cherokee. and my floor was all roted out two.i cant afford new pans .so i went out to mernards and got some 4x 12 sheets of steal. and screw them in place . and cauk all the bottoms so it was all sealup so no air can get in it cost me $32.00. to do it but next year ill buy some new pans maybe ..lol....hope this help out bear468

I did similar thing ive bought sheet metal cut some off a scrap clothes dryer and used old license plates too but i like to use pop rivets i think they are a good bit cheaper once u have the pop rivet gun

depending on your budget you can try c2c fab its $45 per floor pan or you can get the front and rear in one peice for less then $90 per side

Some body shop's won't do rust repair. You'll have to find someone willing to tackle it, and you'll have to be willing to pay $50+ an hour.

how much would the hole new floor broad coast because it pretty bad just to repair it and how would i prevent it from rotting out again

Theres a thread kickin around where a guy completely fiberglassed the whole floor of his jeep then beadlined it. Came out great and fiberglass will never rot. Prolly much cheaper then replacing the whole floor

Cut out all the rust and then buy sheet metal bend to where its going to go either weld it in i prefer to weld it or pop rivet the floor in them seam seal it shut the spray with paint or rust stopper like bed liner

my bro used a scrap dryer and sheet metal screws to hold his in place... then went underneath and used roofing tar to seal it all up

not to hijack but i have a similar problem. i was going to weld somthing in, i have seen some 18 gauge for sale on the local craigslist, think this would be to thin to put in with out any rolls in it? also found some 10 guage.. too think?

Just started to do mine. Got an old hood, cut it up to the size I needed and away I went. Alot of grinding,bending,trial and error to make new metal fit where you want it. Not to bad if you have patience.
If you are welding, make sure the surface is ground down clean before you start.
