Default Flag Question

I was wanting to put a flag mount similar to this . i was wondering about 2 things. speeds and stress. i would be driving on the highway with it, and have read a lot about how it is loud and flaps around too much. if i kept the pole short, and the flag under the roof line, would that reduce the flapping and make it ok for highway use? and is the stock bumper strong enough to hold this?

Someone in my area has a flag mount.

He used his hitch mount.

yea, me n my buddy both use hitch mounted flag polls.
the problem with keeping it under the roof line is that it does flap very well at low speeds and tangles easily. I found that if it stick up a foot or so higher then the roof really helps.

I ended taking mine off, then flipping the hitch upside down.

yeah. ihave seen the hitch mounts. its not how to mount. and i personally dont like the flag in the middle. i like it more off to the side. i have read that the flag is very loud at highway speeds. i was wondering if i keep it low, if it will be as loud.

Turn your music up!

No but seriously. It's not that loud. I did 80mph with mine. The loudest thing on there was the carabiners wiggling on the eye bolts. Your gonna here that at 30, 50, 80, and 100. It's gonna happen. I could only here the flag with the music off and the windows open.

No pictures sadly. But it was about 1.5 feet above the roof line. It picked up at 15 mph. On 10 NOV I flew the Marine Corps Flag (OOO-RAH) and then on 11 NOV I flew the American Flag
