91 cherokee limited. All leather, and all options work..haven't tried the ac. 263k, runs great. Just installed a new fuel pump and filter. Interior is in good shape just needs a little cleaning. Body is in great condition with minor damage to the rear bumper and a little paint coming off one of the flares. Has newer Michelin tires on paint matched wheels.

The problem....bad transmission. PO let it set for six years and now the tranny won't do anything. Local shop says they could rebuild it for $1200 including labor...less if I pull it. Question is though is it worth fixing or should I just part it out? I will try and post pictures later.

for 1200 bucks around here you can almost buy another cherokee. youll end up putting a motor in it down the road truley up to you. 263k miles is getting up there.

I would figure buying a used tranny and throwing that in their would be cheaper. Shouldn't be to hard to find out.

I got a good deal on it and was hoping to fix it and sell it. So, the lower the costs the better. But, I wouldn't want to throw a tranny at it and sell it to someone and then have something else go wrong on em. The engine does have a lot of miles but I bought it from the second owner who has had it since 93 and he said he maintained it. When I bought i checked the oil and it was clean..even inside the oil cap is clean. I have no doubt he took care of it. I guess I'll probably end up parting it out.

Wow that's clean. Buy a good used tranny. Slap it in and enjoy.

Already have enough vehicles....lol. The better half agreed to let me buy it on two conditions. 1. I get a good deal. 2. I get rid of it.

It is very clean though. Interior could still use a little TLC but it is all leather and power and the seats are in great shape...only on small tear on driver seat. Which makes it hard to decide whether putting a transmission in it would make it worth that much more to sell.

X2

Would be a shame to see a clean one like that disassembled and trashed.
