Five years driving my XJ - What should I do next?!
I've had my 1995 XJ for five years. This is a daily driver and utility vehicle, no rock crawling or hardcore wheeling. I'm working for longevity (prevent future rust) and simplicity. I'm at 94000 miles and like the way everything looks so far. My question for the forum, what next?
I'm thinking rims and tires, matching (non-winch) front bumper, and Moog CC782 front springs. Anything else I should consider?
I installed these items over the last three weeks:
Dorman 929-301 rear springs
Dirtbound axlemount bumpstop plates with 2.5" bumpstops
Logan's Metals rear bumper with receiver
Walker stock catalytic converter
Exhaust hangers
Dynomax cat back exhaust system
1997-2001 heater hoses
Putco headlight harness
Rampage halogen conversion headlights
I removed the rusted out OEM hitch and bumpstops, the rear sway bar, vacuum ball, fender flares and all plastic front bumper components. I'm doing this to remove any body items that could hide rust. I wirebrushed everything underneath and went with Mar Hyde, Chassis Saver and Bedliner on everything I could reach and that does not move (Previous advice given on this forum).

Reason: Changes
I've had my 1995 XJ for five years and decided it was time for a few changes. This is a daily driver and utility vehicle, no rock crawling or hardcore wheeling so the projects I'm doing reflect this. Thought about putting things back on but most of the nuts on the factory flares broke off and I plan to get a one piece front bumper with brush guard. Bonus is fewer areas for unseen rust to form.

looks great... I need to wire brush and undercoat my jeep
That's a super clean jeep! Good work in the under body. Something a lot of people look over. I think your jeep would look great with a super slim no winch front bumper. Several companies make them. Here's a picture of one of my favorites from JCR.
Nicer head unit, speakers, and a standalone amplifier, possibly a CB radio (you can get a basic one for real cheap), and tint the front two windows to match
Seats from a Grand Cherokee with power and heated seat options
Aftermarket front bumper and a small-ish light bar for it
Hawk or Black Magic upgraded brake pads, and disc brakes out back.
A transmission cooler, power steering cooler, and upgraded engine cooling system, Grand Cherokee or Dodge Durango alternator
Just to name a few
