First real wheeling trip in the XJ w/ pics
Silver Lake dunes I ran her real real hard. I'm on stock gears with 32" tires and a powertrax locker. 3rd in 4Lo was the ticket, slapping in down to 2nd at the top of big hills. She did great, just a tad short on grunt. Got a little hot a couple times... any tips on keepin her cool on the cheap? Hood vents?

wow now thats hot! been there many times and never got that hot before but i have it so i can turn my electric fan on all the time. must have something going on with your cooling system. i would flush and fill and see how it cools then.

run a cooler for the transmission and power steering. wire your ac fan to a switch so you can turn it on sooner.
run an aftermarket thermostat so it opens sooner.
maybe a new water pump and flush

They work great. I always ran at 220 or higher on trails, now I barely hit 210 when running it hard off road.

Sweet pics, dude. Till that last one lol, Crazy!!
I'd be poopin my pants if my oil pressure was that low and my temps were that high. Anything over 210 scares it right outa me.

They say the 4.0 is bulletproof right I'm looking into cooling options, and it's got 10W30 in it, I might try some JD15W40.
