recovery points (hitch, tow hooks, d-rings) Chances are you're gonna get hung up with a stock xj and you don't want to cause more damage than you have to doing a recovery. Once you actually take your jeep out, you'll get more of an idea where you want to go with everything else.

Mine is stock too. I am thinking skid plates and rocker sliders to start along with tow hooks. After that I will probably do fabricated bumpers and then worry about a lift.
Recovery should ALWAYS be the #1 thing, even if it's only a hitch with a d-shackle and a good 30' tow strap. I would also suggest tow hooks up front 'cuz sometimes you have to be pulled from the front of your vehicle. After that, then figure out what kindnof wheeling you what to do and build it accordingly with armor, a lift, tires, bumpers, and the countless other things we end up doing to our xj's.
