Just thought I'd like to boast I filled the jeep up.. For the first time in months.. Gas dropped to 3.69 a gallon.. Sure beats the $100 fill ups.. I can remember paying 4.8? A gallon last yeAr

 

$100? The most I've ever paid to fill mine up was $62 and I had to have been on fumes. Plus I'm in the Chicago area where it's never under $4/gallon. Although I just checked my build thread it says I am "supposed" to have a 20 gallon tank but I don't see how that is possible

 

Maybe cause the gauge isn't entirely accurate?? XJ gauges are more unreliable than Obama's promises

 

3.69? Lucky duck. I filled up yesterday at $4.55 a gallon. But with the fire in the San Francisco oil refinery, that's about to go up drastically. Probably has already but I close my eyes as I drive by gas stations cause I don't like to know

Gas went from 3.83 at the lowest to 4.29 lowest overnight. Shoulda filled up last night :/

You don't know how lucky you are, fuel here is like £6.37/$10.28 per gallon.
Maybe now you see why we have turbo diesel 2.5 and less 4.0 xj's.

 

I just paid 3.95 :/ it was 3.65 earlier today

 

Mine is over 6 gallons off. On the bright side I don't have to worry about running out of gas, I drove 120 miles through BFE Nevada with my empty light on.

 

Just to really wind myself up to completely fill tank works out at $148 wishing I hadn't looked at this thread now.

 

we are gettin ripped off...it was 4.71 yesterday at this time and today at 6 am 5.12 a gallon...needless to say I am fortunate to have a company car and paid gas but still we are getting the SHAFT big time..

the thing is with you all in the UK its taxes...here is pure and simple greed and thievery...we in So cal have this great winter and summer gas...another way to munipulate the market...

i paid 3.59 yesterday. i don't let the change in gas prices get to me too much, theres nothing i can do about it either way i need gas, whether its $2 or $10 a gallon

 

True, But given the choice as daily driver at over $10 a gallon would you not consider turbo diesel if available?
I would love a 4.0 litre nearly bought one other day it had the gas not Gas conversion.
